Description
Although World War III left much of the Gator Bay population touched with at least some form of mutation, most of the buildings in the area were left in relatively good condition, other than the obvious signs of decade-long abandonment. When it became apparent that the larger, cleaner medical centers in the area were exclusively for the use of the fertility tribe and the child-bearers of the population, the rest of the middle-to-lower class members of society turned to refurbishing the Brown County Mental Health Center on the corner of the streets previously known as Gershwin Drive and Curry Lane.
While it was not nearly as well-stocked as its competitor medical centers, the Brown County center was used in its heyday as a rehabilitation center for mental patients and a nursing home for the elderly. These previous uses left behind plenty of old machines, gurneys, beds, examination tables, and other average-quality medical equipment to be pawned and repurposed by society into something useful and functional. Manned by various members of the lower-class tribes who consider themselves at least halfway decent with salves, herbs, and generic health information, the Brown County center provides accessible (however relatively low-quality) healthcare to the middle- and lower-class population of Gator Bay.
